Following the success of their best-selling Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, Dear Klairs has launched a new vitamin product, the Freshly Juiced Vitamin Charging Serum, a powerful brightening serum packed with a mix of vitamins C, E, B3 (niacinamide), and B5 plus madecassoside to improve overall skin tone and pigmentation, boost radiance, and target early signs of aging.
Compared to the original Vitamin Drop, which contains pure Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid), the Vitamim Charging Serum uses 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, which is a Vitamin C derivative. The two serums function similarly, but the difference is that the former is more potent and may deliver quicker results, while the latter is more stable (doesn't oxidize as quickly) and is less irritating to the skin.
After using this for around 6 months, I could see that my skin did look brighter and seemed healthier overall (though that might be partially due to my pregnancy hormones at the time 😆). It helped fade my melasma nicely as well. It didn't do much for my years-old dark spots though, so if your hyperpigmentation is quite stubborn like mine, you might need something more potent.
While using this I felt that it's quite similar to my favorite Melano CC Intensive Anti-Spot Essence, but without the oily/greasy feeling, which was the one thing I didn't like about it. Melano CC fans, you may want to give this a try!
