Canmake Kawaii Bag for August 2016

Hi everyone, happy Monday! Today I have something special for you. Something sweet and kawaii (◡‿ ◡❀)♥ But first, I'd like to make a small announcement—I am now one of CANMAKE Philippines' Brand Ambassadors! 🥳💖


You all know how I love CANMAKE and its products, so imagine how happy I was when I was asked to become a Brand Ambassador for CANMAKE Philippines! (I am so, so thankful.) And so for this post, I'll be introducing the products sent to me by CANMAKE Philippines for this month!

CANMAKE Liquid Eyeliner in 01 Black *

Firstly, liquid eyeliner! It's a basic black liquid liner, with a brush tip. For liquid liner beginners, this might take a bit of practice to use, since the brush tip is quite thin and flimsy, unlike with felt tip or calligraphy brush liners. But because the brush tip is thin, it's great for detail work and for creating sharp winged eyeliner looks.

TIP: When using this liner, make sure to take excess product off the brush so you don't end up applying too much product on your eye. This happened to me and it took a while before the product dried completely on my eyelid. This particular eyeliner doesn't dry instantly, so you should also let it dry for a few seconds after application before you open your eyes.

CANMAKE False Eyelash No. 01 *

False eyelashes! These come in two pairs, eyelash glue not included. The label on the upper left says "羽のようなふわりナチュラル" which translates to "feather-like soft natural" – soft-as-a-feather, natural-looking lashes. I haven't tried these myself yet, but falsies with this design—wispy, with the outer corners slightly thicker and longer—are my favorite to use! In my experience, this particular design goes really well with a subtle cat eye, which is my eye makeup of choice ♥

CANMAKE Cream Cheek in CLHO01 Clear Heart On *

This is actually a limited edition version of CANMAKE's well-loved Cream Cheek. It has two colors – one main pink color, and a second red accent color. As this is a limited edition color, I couldn't find any information on it online. I'm not sure if it's a mix of two existing Cream Cheek colors or if they created a new color altogether. I tried looking and comparing the main pink color to other existing colors, but I couldn't pinpoint which one it is exactly. It's a nice guava pink color with very subtle sparkles that looks very natural when blended out. The red color, on the other hand, looks very similar to my favorite CL01 Clear Red Heart – a true red without any sparkles. I tried blending the two and it looks nice, but I'm guessing a better way to use this is by applying the pink cream cheek first and adding the red on top, just as you would with Igari style makeup.

CANMAKE Stay-On Balm Rouge in 09 Masquerade Bud *

You might have seen this already on my last favorites post – the Stay-On Balm Rouge ♥ It's a tinted balm, which means it's a lip tint and lip balm in one. The color is a translucent deep red that I love. One swipe gives you a sheer wash of color, and you can build up the color from there. It goes well with feminine looks, especially Igari style or LARME style makeup.

CANMAKE Lighting Liquid Eyes in 01 Chandelier Beige *

Last but not least, CANMAKE Lighting Liquid Eyes! I've already reviewed this before here. It's a liquid highlighter that's made especially for emphasizing the area below the lower waterline – the "namidabukuro" ("tear bag" in Japanese) or "aegyo sal" ("eye fat" in Korean). It's super sparkly and makes your eyes look all キラキラ☆, like the heroine in a shoujo manga! (♡´ 艸`)

A little secret – aside from using this as a highlighter for namidabukuro, I also use it for a different purpose—as an eye primer! One day, I ran out of my favorite cream shadow (that I always used as my eyeshadow base), so I tried using this as an alternative. I really liked how my eye makeup looked with it, so I've been using this as my eye primer ever since ♥


And that was this month's kawaii bag~! All of them are really good products overall, but my favorites are definitely the Cream Cheek and the Stay-On Balm Rouge! These two products have never left my makeup pouch ever since I started using them. This particular Cream Cheek is a limited edition color though, so I'm not sure if it's available in store. I suggest asking directly if you're really interested in this particular color. If not, then why not give other colors a try? The Cream Cheek is one of the brand's best-sellers, and for good reason. I always recommend it to my friends – I'm sure you'll love it as well.
